Sailor Hermes

I did promise I would finish Ami's kid (for my next-gen team), and here she is! Misao (Misa) Mizuno (Fidelity of water), the child of Ami and, well, Makoto. Yes, yes, I went there. And it's not that far off that in the future, two women can have a kid together (through parthenogenesis or the like), and if not, I'm sure the ginzuishou can make it happen. So there, I imagine that in crystal tokyo this isn't totally unheard of!

A year after Shikuza is born, Makoto asks Ami is she doesn't want any children of her own, since she's doing an awesome job with them. Ami then confides in her that due to medical issues as a child, she's unable to get pregnant. Makoto, who's both kind-hearted and also a bit rash, then immediately insist that she will carry her child for her! Ami, is against the idea, as she has no potential father, and doesn't like the idea of an anonymous donor. Makoto just brushes her off, saying that she'll be the child's other parent, not to worry.

So three years after Shikuza, Misao is born. She's one of those children who seems to develop quickly, and looks very mature for her age (in fact, people believe her to be the eldest sister), and her high intelligence only adds to the illusions. But in fact, Misao is a very childish girl, and she gets confused when people treat her as more mature then she is. This has made her a somewhat social chameleon, and a bit of a con-artist as well. Misa has a slight shop-lifting problem as well, and she usually acts out because she want people to see her for herself, and not the person they think she is. Problem is, she's not sure she remember who she truly is any more.

Finding a senshi name for her was difficult, since Mercury apparently is the son of Jupiter, and it's difficult to find any interesting correlating mythology to suit. So instead I went for Hermes, who's the Greek equivalent of Mercury, and the son of Zeus. He's also a patron of the cunning of thieves and liars, so let's just say that Misao isn't exactly the most honest of girls. But she's still true to her name (if not truthful), she would never abandon her friends or family, and would die for them if necessary.

That completes the inners. (well, the girls anyway... ) Woo, go me! Now I just need the rest of the outers. Oh well, not today!
