In the garden of Venus

I was browsing through old sketchbooks, looking for anything of interest when I came over the sketch for this. I have no idea what I was planning to do with it, or who it originally was, but it became Freya, my version of the past-life mother of Sailor Venus. I was originally going to draw her in her senshi form, but that will be for another time.

The queen of Venus, and leader of the senshi, Freya is a devoted lady. She supposedly has countless lovers, although no husband. Rumour also has it that Freya suffers from heartbreak, because she can never have the one she truly loves. Although whether this is true or not, is unknown to everyone, even her daughter.

I am pretty sure the pose from this came from stock photo, but I can not for the life of me figure out where! So if it seems familiar to you, please tell me!
