My "special" drawing as a thanks to everyone for 20 000 pageviews! It's also a remake of sorts of my 10 000 hits drawing [link] , I just felt it was fitting somehow!

I'm not going to explain this one, as there are several motives and meanings behind this, both in relation to Usa and more personal thing. I am very interested in hearing what you guys see in the drawing, though, should you feel so inclined! :D

I see a very world-weary Serenity, ready to rest. She seems sad and lonely; maybe the rest of her generation has passed on, because their children have taken up the mantle of protection. She still remains however, because she can't let go and accept her child is ready to rule alone. She wants to be with her beloved Helios and her family, but she can't go until she is sure her daughter will survive without her.

Semi-immortality sounds like it would suck, honestly. Even if some of the people you love lived as long as you, anyone who wasn't a senshi or otherwise empowered would die. Your children, friends, and relatives would all die before you. It would hurt so much, because you would know you couldn't join them for a very long time.

A very interesting interpretation! :)

And yes, semi-immortality, if you're the only one affected by it, does indeed seem like it would suck! I was one of the few kids among my friends who never wanted to live forever when I was little. ^^;
