Literature Text

Truly, The sky
Shatters the darkness
My heart is crying
the road divides
Destiny's star has decided
My choice is
the blue route
we soar to the future
Don't forget me

Moon Idol Venus was swaying gently to the music, revelling in the cheers of the crowd surrounding her. Girls, boys, it didn’t matter; they all had their eyes on her, and only her. For a little while she was their world, and she basked in the glory of being their centre of attention. She felt the music flow through her body, and the cheering grew louder as she lifted her hand hitting the crescendo that would end her song. Then the world moved under her, and she fell, and fell and fell...

...and landed on the mattress, the curtains of her bed covering her entire body and blocking out all light. Peach flung them aside with an annoyed noise, muttering a string of curses she had heard her mother use more than once. Getting up on her knees, she glared angry at her 'audience', as if the fall had somehow been the stuffed animals’ fault. Behind her the song continued its course, not caring at all about the lead singer’s accident. Seeing that no sympathy was to be had from her stuffed companions, she turned the player off, placing the room in a rather unfamiliar setting of total silence. Peach settled down on the bed again sulking, hugging her favourite toy Mr. Twinkle close to her chest. But Moon Idol Venus was never far away, and it wasn't long before she was humming again, bouncing slightly up and down to the music in her head. She looked down at Mr. Twinkle.

"It was a good show, wasn’t it?" The plush pegicorn nodded in agreement. It was quite the show, maybe the best he’d seen and he had seen a lot. Peach smiled happily, hugging him tightly. You could always count on good old Twinkle to put things right. She started to swing her legs rhythmically, already feeling the restlessness that always came when she was immobile for more than a minute. But what could she do? Suddenly it hit her. "Oh, I know! Why don’t we visit auntie Mina?" Mr. Twinkle nodded again (he usually did), and she jumped off the bed and ran into the hall. She knew exactly where she was going.

Not much later found Peach skipping merrily through the halls of the crystal palace, trying her best to avoid the places where she could potential run into her mother and grandmother. That meant having to take a detour, but she really didn’t want to get roped into more senshi practice. She had started her training half a year ago, but it was already getting old. Peach liked the magic, and the outfit (especially the skirts), but after a while it all got a bit, well, boring. There hadn’t been any monster or ghouls to fight off in years, and no one inside the city since long before she was born. She had tried to tell her mother once, but she had just rolled her eyes, and her grandmother had given her that stern look that spoke volumes. So she didn’t bring it up again, instead she just did her best to avoid the lessons altogether. Peach giggled. It made a fun game, although she had a feeling that not everyone agreed.

Luckily for Peach everyone seemed to be busy in other parts of the palace, and she reached her destination without being noticed by anyone but the occasional servant. Slipping through the heavy door she sighed in relief, and closed it carefully behind her. "Home free" she whispered, and started walking down the long hallway of the royal moon gallery, Mr. Twinkle still dangling from her arm, not a care in the world. Then again, what kind of problems could a stuffed pegicorn possibly have?

Peach only has one wish for her birthday, and that is to meet her idol. But how is that possible when there are several lifetimes separating them?

My pet project at the moment, a little story with Peach as the main character. The story is both un-betaed and unpolished, but I've decided to do it this way because my main goal with this project is to see if I can actually manage to finish a story. ^^; The idea is that if I can manage this, I might actually get the courage and inspiration to write down some of my other stories. :)

So far the chapters are rather short, and not filled with much action (or even dialogue ^^;), but I'm hoping this will improve as I (hopefully) get further into the story. So, yeah, please be gentle, this is actually rather scary! :P

Oh, and if you think Mr. Twinkle seems familiar, you are quite correct: [link]

The lyrics in the beginning is from Sailor Venus's R image song, "Route Venus".
